Weekend

Quite a different one than last, seeing as C is home.

We went out for Mexican last nite.  I had a "grumpster headache" as C called it when we left.  He actually picked me up here at the house cuz he'd been golfing - and my headache really just started after work.  But it was more muscle tension headache from typing/sitting.

Arrived to a packed place but just in time to get an open corner table out on their patio.  My saving grace I think!  That and a whole order of guac as my appetizer and I was happy girl. It was an impromptu evening w/ a trip to the grocer afterwards and neil diamond singing and living room dancing back home to the likes of roar and blurred lines.  We are goof balls.

This a.m. I was on my way to pure barre and saw this...

... can you see it?  It was a meteor i guess?  It was so strong and started out long and got shorter as it fell which seemed to take forever!

On the agenda today...
Juice (5 carrots, 1/2 romaine stalk, 1 small lemon peeled, 1 grapefruit peeled, small knob of peeled ginger)

I am such a carrot/grapefruit fan... I saw this recipe recently (can't give credit, don't remember where) and thought I'd mix it up a bit - good call.

Gonna go shop a bit and run some other errands, hopefully a good nap & then off to a wedding this evening.

Which reminds me... last nite with the hubs was just something really.  You know those moments where you just feel grateful, more like miraculously grateful that you love someone so... I had two of those moments in a row - leaving the grocer, the lady asked if I wanted my carrots in a bag, I said, "No they're fine... I have my husband in the car to help unload these, so I'm good!"  And she said, "Oh that's the best."  And my heart filled with joy at this simple truth... it really is...

... then just shortly after, we were almost home... this was the Neil Diamond singing session - to the song "Play Me"... and I'm telling you, well can't tell you b/c it was surely just a had to be there moment, but the laughter and the love - I experience it as miraculous... and all married people know - these are times to treasure.

By the ending of this post, C has filled the house with the smell of last nite's leftovers broiling in the oven and I've stolen myself a few bites!
