Familia

Went down to Washington, IN Friday with my Grandma.  She and I went to see The Promise, a musical about the life of Jesus.   My mom, nephew, and nieces were all in it!

I adore all my nephew and nieces.  It really doesn't matter what they are doing, I just think they are the most precious things.  And Friday nite made my heart so full watching two of them perform.

At intermission, my Grandma was done sitting, so I took her back to my parents' and when I came back, I sat on an end seat in the back.  After another song or two went by, I felt a little tap on my shoulder only to turn and see Gunnar and Molly (nephew and niece) standing right there, Gunnar holding the sweetest lamb - a real one!  I mean hello! how cute!  They were back there waiting for their part to go up... which included both of them singing a little solo, be. still. my. heart.   Would have been a perfect pic but I'd left my phone back at my parents'.

Here are some pics I got of them before the show, getting ready back in my mom's bathroom and then all ready to go in her kitchen.

Grandma and I were back the next day, making it right at a 24 hr trip from the time I picked her up in Avon, til the time I dropped her off, but so full despite.  Turkey stew at my parents' right as we arrived in town, the musical, a chat w/ my dad when I brought my grandma back... then one w/ my mom after everyone went to bed.  The next morning, bright and early, she and I went to serve breakfast for some men that were on this retreat (have I mentioned my mom's a go getter?)... then hung out w/ everyone, back at my parents', before having lunch and heading back to Avon w/ Grandma.  The two of us can chat it up w/o trouble too, so 2 hour car rides are nothing.  All good stuff.

Pics: Molly who had asked my mom and I to give her a spelling test and here my Grandma is grading her. Then G and my dad were downstairs playing ping pong so snapped that at the same time. (My other niece Lily was w/ a friend so she is m.i.a. in all the action.)

Purposely made it back yesterday in time to go to dinner w/ some friends.  Tried a new place, Seasons 52, and liked it.  Purdue won yesterday so hey... all around a great 24 plus hours.

It's a low key day here today... went to church and the grocery store this am, chomped on a delicious salad when we got back while catching up on some Extra Virgin shows I had taped... baked some beets and took a nap.  Heading to an early... 3:00! dinner w/ my mother in law, her hubby, Noah, and Andrea... pic of them below from last summer.... couldn't find a more recent one in the many iPhone pics I have!  I know I've got a cute one of Andrea and Noah, but not finding it... maybe I'll get a current one tonite cuz today is sweet Andrea's b-day so finishing off the evening w/ the IU game at Linda's (mil) and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory... yum, gonna relish a bite, or two!

Maybe it's the spring forward time change that's got me wondering if I can squeeze in another nap before we leave... thankful for such a full weekend though, and actually looking forward to the week - hope you are too, and hope it's a good one full of at least one good surprise, or two!

Closing w/ my favorite quote from the week that I heard from listening to Joel Osteen and then a song I heard twice this week and will be dancing around to this week for sure... Dara Maclean's Free.

"Fear and faith both ask you to believe something unseen.  Choose faith."
