Routine Reminder Revelation

I've got me a morning routine going...

wake, use the infrared sauna for about 20 min, shower, stretch, make a juice, finish my hair, maybe throw in laundry, and start work...

both my parents are pretty routine oriented, especially my dad, so not surprising that a good routine makes me a happy girl.

I was making the juice this am and had my phone playing iTunes when a lyric (Laura Story, "I Think of You") said, "You redeem every part of each day, that you made."

Love that "every part" part and this verse that says, he made them all!  This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24

I'm involved in a situation w/ someone right now where they don't have the advantage of knowing all the factors involved, and in large part have to rely on the word of others.  Things aren't moving as speedily as envisioned.  And because of that, they are having a hard time trusting that the things promised to them were done with good intentions and that it is only a matter of time before their hopes for the situation will be reality.  But timing can't be controlled, and watching them struggle in this waiting is frustrating b/c from my angle I know it's coming and yet I see their doubt effecting their actions and in turn effecting the situation.

And that is me w/ God, so often.  His angle on life is start to finish, beginning of time to eternity after!... my angle is the blip I know as my life.   When it comes to all that needs redeeming, I have his word that he made all days, that he is The Redeemer and promises he is able to do that, the only one able to do it.  But my unbelief runs strong and too often his word doesn't seem to register powerfully enough to keep me patient in the waiting.

It's hard to watch loved ones go through trials...  children who can't possibly understand... all those sick and hurting... the happenings all over the world.  Redemption quickly feels a hoax.  But as my old Pastor said in one of the last sermons I heard him preach... "Jesus is the how."  He is the rest in the relentless waiting, relief in the abundant wondering, and a pleasant balm of mystery when it comes to his angle on complete redemption.

The reminder this am... he who made the days, redeems the days. Be awed at the promise, Shannon, and let it be.  When time carries on and nothing looks to me redeemed, until darkness is all light, let the faithfulness build and not die.

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.  And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, " Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?  But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it.  I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.  Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep!  See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.  He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders.  He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.  He came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.  And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb.  Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense,  which are the prayers of the saints.  And they sang a new song:

"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.  You have made them to be a kingdom and priest to serve our God, and they will reign on earth."

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.  They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.  In a loud voice they sang:

"Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.
